In the second quarter of 2024, the US market witnessed notable performances from the top Music and Podcasts applications across the unified iOS and Android platforms. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a glimpse into the trends of downloads and weekly active users for these popular apps.

YouTube Music saw its revenue fluctuate, with a peak in late April at nearly $25K and a low in late June at about $20K. Downloads remained consistent, with numbers hovering around 3K to 3.5K weekly, while weekly active users showed an upward trend, rising from 746K to 856K by the end of the quarter.

Deezer: Music Player, Podcast experienced a revenue high of approximately $23K in late April and a dip to around $19K in the latter part of June. Downloads saw a spike to 1.5K in early June but otherwise stayed near the 1K mark. Weekly active users remained stable, with a slight decrease from 187K to 185K over the quarter.

Spotify - Music and Podcasts maintained a steady revenue stream, with the highest at over $21K in the first week of April and closing the quarter around $17K. Downloads peaked at 12K in late April, and weekly active users showed a healthy increase from 2.6M to 2.7M by the quarter's end.

SoundCloud: Discover New Music had its revenue peak at about $12K in the last week of April but saw a general downtrend to roughly $11K by late June. Downloads were mostly steady, ranging from 3.9K to 4.4K, while active users fluctuated, reaching a high of 369K in mid-May before settling at 334K.

Lastly, TIDAL Music: HiFi Sound showed modest revenue figures, peaking at $4.7K in the first week of April and then ending the quarter with about $3.7K. Downloads for TIDAL were lower in comparison to the others, with numbers between 193 and 380, and the number of weekly active users saw a slight decrease from 16K to 15K.
